I am an artist, pet portrait painter, homeschooling mom, and the person most likely to stop mid-sentence because there’s a stray cat on my back porch and I need to go pay my respects to the cat distribution system.

I paint animals. Mostly pets, occasionally wildlife and probably anything else with a face that looks like it has strong opinions.

Around here you’ll find finished paintings, works in progress, sketchbook pages, things I tried that went surprisingly well, and things I tried that absolutely did not.

I live in West Virginia with my family and enough critters to make leaving the house unnecessarily complicated.

I believe art doesn’t have to be serious to matter. It can be colorful, funny, sentimental, imperfect, and still earn a place on your wall.

So that’s what I’m doing here.

Making art. Raising kids. Collecting animals I did not go looking for.

And painting as much of it as I can.
